"In the World, But Not of It": Reading Diamond Heart and Exploring our Inner Nature

     This series of classes is an opportunity to  use meditations, lectures and experiential exercises to  explore certain aspects of our  consciousness.    

     Developing a sincere curiosity about our inner experience naturally moves us into greater contact with our depth.  We feel more real and can recognize our capacities to experience states such as inner spaciousness, clarity, compassion and peace. 

     However, we are usually identified with and experience the world through our familiar conditioning.  Over the course of classes,  we will explore these two ways of being - of our familiar nature and essential nature -   how they relate to each other, and how they effect our experience of the world.

     We will read A.H. Almaas' Diamond Heart Book One:  Elements of the Real in Man to help orient our explorations.  The group will meet approximately once a month, from September through June.  The first meetings will be as follows:

Sept 14th, 7:00 - 9:30 pm

Oct 19th, 7:00 - 9:30 pm

Nov 19th, 7:00 - 9:30 pm and Nov 20th, 9:00 am - 11:30 am

Dec 21st, 7:00 - 9:30 pm

Meetings are $30 each and will be held at Turning House, 220 Waterman Avenue, East Providence, RI.
