TESTIMONIALS
Greg’s Clients
“I started working with Greg after a long term shoulder injury would not heal. I had tried many things - chiropractic, massage, even consulted with an orthopedic surgeon. In 4 visits with Greg, I experienced remarkable progress with my shoulder. As a result, I continued to see Greg for other nagging aches and pains and found that each session increased my overall well-being."

"Greg is a compassionate practitioner and a creative Rolfer. He knows his trade and goes beyond it."
Jack Childs, Director of the Holistic Counseling Program at Salve Regina University.
"I have noticed remarkable changes in my body due to my sessions with Greg. Working with Greg has improved my body awareness, increased my range of motion and corrected my posture. It alleviates and controls my back and shoulder pain that I have had since my spinal cord injury and subsequent surgeries. Greg has magical hands, and I recommend his work to anyone who is interested."
Sarah Everheart, nationally ranked paraplegic sailor and former Director of Shake-A-Leg, a rehabilitation center for people with spinal cord injuries
“Due to overuse/abuse of my body as a (non-professional) triathlete, surfer, and climber my body suddenly ‘stopped’ about 3 years ago. I couldn’t run more than 2 minutes because of severe pain caused by runners compartment syndrome in my shins, my upper back had a perpetual ‘knot’ that no massage therapist, amount of rest, or muscle relaxants could relieve, and because I was forced to slow down, and stop running completely I gained weight and became lethargic and even a little bit depressed. After one session, I was able to run again, after two sessions I was still running, but we also worked out the knot in my back and I can now surf for hours on end without any pain, and now, after seeing Greg for about 2 months (5 or 6 sessions), I am running 6 miles every other day, still surfing for hours at a time without pain, have lost 12 lbs, and feel great. Rolfing has literally changed my life by giving me back the body that I had when I was 25.”

“I am a competitive marathoner and began seeing Greg in the Spring of 2004 for serious IT band issues. I had always had minor problems with them, but never this bad. I was having difficulty running for longer than 10 minutes. Greg discovered a problem in my hamstring from an injury I thought was insignficant from the previous Summer. I was over compensating for my hamstring which resulted in the IT band tightness. After only one session with Greg, I began to notice an improvement, and after three sessions I was able to resume my normal training.
“Now I see Greg before and after every marathon as insurance that I will run to the best of my ability, and recover smoothly for the next race. I recommend Greg for athletes who have suffered a severe injury or are just having a nagging pain that surfaces from time to time.”

“In September of 2005, I began a series of sessions with Greg to help alleviate my chronic lower back pain. After a few sessions I started to experience a freedom of movement within my body that I had never known. I was no longer so “protective” of my body and felt more comfortable in moving around.
“But for me the best part was the improvement that I began to see in my riding abilities! For years I had struggled against my own body’s inability to move. But with the help of Greg and Rolfing, I was able to increase my freedom and range of motion. I became more comfortable in my body and increased my confidence in the saddle. I sat taller, was more secure in my seat and had the ability to truly move my legs, seat and hands independently. This is the key for the Dressage rider needs to be able to use all three of these aids independently in order to influence the movement of their horse.
“I highly recommend Greg and thank him greatly for his ability to make my life more comfortable.”

“I am both a massage therapist and a trainer of Russian Kettlebells so my body gets a lot of use. Because I work out so religiously and intensely with kettlebells and many kinds of cardio I knew I was strong, but I always felt like my body was "gripping" to stay upright.
“My body was in a state of being tense and always "on" and I truthfully equated that with strength until Greg helped me to experience something different. Since working with Greg my body feels more balanced, recovers more quickly and works more as a harmonious unit. My athletic performance has benefited greatly from my sessions with Greg, and I would highly recommend him to anyone who is interested in a healthy, strong, balanced body.”

About Rolfing
“There is a pattern, an order, in human bodies...When the body gets working appropriately,
the force of gravity can flow through. Then, spontaneously, the body heals itself.”
Ida P. Rolf, developer of Rolfing
“Being Rolfed has given me a new desire to move and swim instead of collapsing at the
end of the day. I have lost a habitual slump and suffer less from headaches.”
Sue Turner, Aquatic World
“Rolfing has been stretching out muscle fibers that haven’t been stretched for thirty years. When I started, my muscle fibers felt like petrified rock. Now they are getting progressively softer and more supple and gaining elasticity.”
Leon Fleisher, Concert Pianist
“The emotional effects are often as dramatic as the changes in body structure. In our experience, Rolfing prodduces changes in a briefer time than any other system we are aware of.”
